Chief Superintendant Garvey says paramilatary activity has not gone away.

Chief Superintendent Fred Garvey says while there is reduced emphasis on paramilitary activity since the Good Friday agreement they have not gone away. He says Gardai must continually keep an eye on all subversive activity, particularly in the current climate internationally. The Chief Superintendent who is to retire next week says there’s always the possibility that terror groups can join forces.
