Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois says it’s not just manager Jose Mourinho who’s to blame for their poor form. They need a point against Porto to reach the last-16 of the Champions League tomorrow – but it’s their Premier League performances that are more of a concern. They’ve lost 8 out of 15 top flight matches. Courtois says everyone at the club needs to look at themselves [audio_player src=”http://media.radiokerry.ie/mediamanager/embed/audio/49621/medium/”] Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins has strongly hinted at changes to the club. Manager Garry Monk is rumoured to be close to getting sacked by the Swans and Jenkins has admitted that “something needs to change”. UEFA president Michel Platini has begun his bid to have his 90-day ban from all football-related activity overturned. Platini began his appeal case at the Court of Arbitration for Sport today. He’s looking for the Court to end his ban, which would allow him to resume campaigning for the FIFA presidency ahead of next year’s election to replace Sepp Blatter. Meanwhile, suspended FIFA vice president Juan Angel Napout has agreed to be extradited to the United States. The Paraguyan, who is the President of CONMEBOL, is one of the 16 football officials who were indicted last week by the US Department of Justice on charges of money laundeering and wire fraud.
