People from Kerry to run in solidarity with those living in Direct Provision

People from Kerry will run alongside, and in solidarity with, those living in direct provision in Killarney later this month.

The Kerry Sanctuary Runners was established in February, and a team including ten runners currently staying in direct provision centres in Killarney and Cork will take part in the 10k Run Killarney event on July 28th.

As of the end of May, there were 353 people in Kerry’s five direct provision centres, according to the Reception and Integration Agency.

Founder of the Kerry Sanctuary Runners, Glenbeigh native, Graham Clifford says this is a great way for Irish people to get to know those in direct provision.
