Chamber of Commerce welcomes Town Council’s decision on Saturday parking

The Chamber of Commerce in Listowel has welcomed The Town Council’s decision to maintain paid parking on Saturdays. John Galvan of the Chamber of Commerce says paid parking will avoid congestion in the town on its busiest trading day. Concerns had been expressed by town manager Michael McMahon about the 24,000 drop in revenue that free parking on Saturday would have created. Mr. Galvin says that most traders are in favour of charging for parking.
