Chair of Caherciveen Tidy Towns says special vending machines would encourage recycling

The chairperson of Caherciveen Tidy Towns says special vending machines should be rolled out around the county to encourage more people to recycle.

Lisa O’Shea says the amount of rubbish being dumped illegally has increased and the majority of those responsible can afford to dispose of the waste properly.

She says vending machines as seen in other countries should be put in place to encourage people to recycle more often.

She says they have approached Kerry County Council to examine the proposal:
