Cats Cruise Through To Leinster Hurling Final

Kilkenny have inflicted a mauling on Wexford in the Leinster semi-final. The Cats managed a 5-25 to 0-16 victory at Nowlan Park to set up a final against Galway. Ger Aylward netted a hat-trick of goals for the Cats with TJ Reid and Richie Hogan contributing the other goals. Seamus Callanan got two of Tipps goals in the first half, while Jason Forde and Michael Breen added two more after the break. Shane Dowling notched a penalty for Limerick in the second half. Tipp will meet Waterford in the MUnster final. Limerick have beaten Tipp 1-23 to 2-13 in the intermediate fixture. Meanwhile in Ulster, Derry beat Donegal 3-17 to 5-7, while Down defeated Armagh by 5-20 to 3-14 in their Championship quarter-finals. In football, Monaghan hold a 1-20 to 13 points in the Ulster semi-final at KIngspan Breffni Park against Fermanagh. Conor McManus got the Monaghan goal deep into the second half. Meanwhile the Cavan minors have beaten Antrim 1-19 to 1-11.
