Castlemaine woman killed in road accident in Wexford

A mid-Kerry woman in her early thirties has been killed in a road traffic collision in County Wexford. garda-accident-390x285 Linda Griffin from Lassaboy in Castlemaine, died when she was knocked down by a car on the outskirts of Wexford Town at 1.30 this morning. The fatal road traffic collision occurred at Kellystown, Drinagh, Co Wexford at 1.30am. Gardaí say a car collided with a female pedestrian who has now been named locally in the Castlemaine as Linda Griffin, who was in her early thirties. Ms Griffin was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene and her body has been removed to the mortuary at Wexford General Hospital. The 21 year-old male driver of the car was uninjured in the collision. The road at the scene has now reopened following a Garda Forensic Collision Examination. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the collision to contact them at Wexford Garda Station or any Garda Station.
