Castleisland nursing home expected to create 90 jobs

A new nursing home is expected to create 90 jobs in Castleisland.

The Castleisland Nursing Home will be located just outside the town on the Crag Road.

It will accommodate 74 residents and is due to open in Autumn 2020.

Pat Kennedy and Denis McElligott of the Windmill Nursing Group, who have family connections in the area, are spear-heading the project.

It is expected the development will bring 90 jobs which will range from nursing care assistants, to catering staff and admin positions.

Director of Windmill Nursing Group Denis McElligott, says Castleisland Nursing Home is specially designed to provide 3 specific areas of care.

Windmill Nursing Group will host an information event to discuss the possible jobs and facilities at Castleisland Nursing Home.

It will take place on May 1st in the River Island Hotel from at 4pm to 7pm and is open to potential residents, families and job seekers.
