A Kerry garage owner claims if fuel prices remain consistently high the car lobby will look at alternatives to petrol cars. Ted Kelleher of Kelloil claims the oil producers are aware of this and will be forced to drop their prices for fear the car lobby will make a breakthrough. He is predicting that petrol prices will fall back in a couple of months. Mr Kelleher says the longer petrol remains at current levels the more money the car lobby will put into electric cars.
