Capital Cup Wins For Everton, Stoke And Man City

Capital One League CupManchester City, Everton and Stoke have all booked their places in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup. All three Premier League sides have avoided potential cup upsets to advanced to the last-four. Kevin de Bruyne scored twice to help Man City to a commanding 4-1 win over Hull at Eastlands. Irish internationals Marc Wilson and Jonathan Walters started for Stoke, while Glenn Whelan came off the bench as Mark Hughes’ side were 2-0 winners over Sheffield Wednesday at the Britannia Stadium. And Everton produced a hugely impressive display to defeat their hosts, Middlesbrough by two goals to nil at the Riverside. The out-standing Gerard Deulofeu scored the opener and then set-up Romelu Lukaku to head-home the second as Everton cruised into the last-four. Southampton will play host to Liverpool in the remaining quarter-final tonight.
