Candidate selection for Uderas Elections begins this weekend

The process to select candidates for this years Udaras Elections gets underway this weekend. Sinn Fein will this afternoon nominate their candidate at a convention in Ballyferriter. It’s understood there will be three candidates to contest the two seats in the West Kerry Gaeltacht. April 2nd is the proposed date for polling which is due to be confirmed within the next week. Fianna fail, Fine Gael and Sinn Fein are expected to nominate one candidate each for this years Udaras Elections in Kerry. It’s understood Cllrs Seamus Cosai Fitzgerald and Breandain MacGearailt will defend their positions.
