Campaign begins to save Kerry flyer bus service

A Knocknagoshel resident is starting a campaign to save the Kerry flyer bus service in North Kerry. 8 people who work for the service are to lose their jobs. Last week the Government decided to restructure Social Economy Projects resulting in the loss of 80 jobs in the county. The subsidised service reaches parts of North Kerry where no scheduled bus route exists.Irene Cotter of Knocknagoshel, a regular user of the service, is starting a petition to save these bus routes. She says it is an important part of people`s lives in the area and it allows people to be independent.
