Camp business man to apply to KCC to retain planning permission for mobile homes

A Camp businessman says he intends to reapply to Kerry County Council to retain planning permission for 29 mobile homes in the area. It comes after An Board Pleanala refused permission for the homes. Roy Bowler says the nearest hotel is in Tralee or Dingle and so mobile homes are the only means by which they can attract overnight visitors. There are 103 homes on the existing site. The Board turned down the application on the grounds that they would be visually obtrusive. Mr Bowler says while he accepts the decision of the Board, it will have consequences on the local economy of the area.
