There are calls to provide a pedestrian crossing outside a Killarney school.
Councillor Maura Healy-Rae brought a motion to the recent meeting of the Killarney Municipal District, calling for Kerry County Council to provide a crossing at Fossa National School.
She says, as it stands, families are being put in danger when trying to cross what is a wide stretch of road at drop-off and pick-up times.
The council says it has carried out a survey at the location and deemed a crossing is not justified.
However, it adds it will liaise with the school and its board of management to ensure the safety of all road users at the location.
