Calls for young candidates to run in Udaras elections

The lack of candidates running in the approaching Udaras elections is bad for democracy according to a former Udaras Board Member. Labour is not putting anyone forward and Sinn Fein`s candidate withdrew last week, leaving just existing members Fianna Fail’s Breandain MacGearailt and Fine Gael`s Seamus Cosai Fitzgerald. TP O Cruthuair says there needs to be debate and a challenge to existing members for the good of Udaras Na Gaeltachta in Kerry. He suggests a young candidate should come forward.
