A call has been made to the Minister for Health for the provision of two nurses in the county to deal specifically with Parkinson`s suffers. It`s estimated up to 3,000 people in Kerry suffer with the disease. The call has been made by the North Kerry Patient`s Action Group. They want Michael Martin to provide two nurses, one for South Kerry and one for North Kerry. The group says the disease is now becoming prevalent amongst younger people and are asking the Minister to administer health care personnel for Parkinson`s sufferers in Kerry.
