Calls for greyhound industry to do more for retired dogs

The greyhound industry needs to do more to help retired dogs when they finish their racing career according to the owner of The Kerry Greyhound Home Finders. Since the beginning of the year Kerry County Council have had to put down over 1,000 dogs, of this figure a quarter have been greyhounds. Amanda Saunders Perkins says many dogs that are not fast enough or those that retire from racing make great family pets.
