The association representing festivals around the country is calling for a distinction between community events and concerts or sporting occasions in the new policing bill. The bill is to make provision for festivals and concerts to pay a portion of garda overtime. However the Association of Festivals says there should be a clear distinction between not for profit events and larger scale concerts and sporting occasions.
