The Gaeltacht regions are a sleeping giant full of potential.
That’s according to Chair of Brú na Gráige Fr Tómas Ó Murchú.
The educational institution for Irish speakers is hosting a group of Unionists from East Belfast in Ballyferriter this week.
Fr Ó Murchú says the Gaeltacht regions are being neglected and should used all year round.
He says the Government need to restore funding for Irish language courses in the Gaeltacht and could also send all first year secondary school students to the Gaeltacht for two weeks:
