Broadband on its way to rural areas in Kerry.

High speed internet access is on its way to rural areas around the county under a new scheme that will work the same way as group water schemes. Castleisland, Kenmare and Dingle are the main towns in the county without broadband facilities. It`s hoped under the new broadband investment plan that internet access will be provided to these areas.80 towns around the country, including 350,000 people will avail of the 105 million euro scheme. Broadband is available to 60% of the population at the moment including Tralee, Killarney and Listowel.
