Book of Evidence ready to be served in careless driving causing death case

A 21-year-old woman charged with careless driving causing death following a road accident, is due to be served with the Book of Evidence next week. Tralee Courthouse1 Sarah O’Connell of 44 Sean Moylan Park, Mallow, is charged with careless driving causing the death of her 14 -year-old babysitter.Caitlín Taylor from Gould’s Hill, Mallow, was a front-seat passenger in the car being driven by Ms O’Connell and died at the scene of the single vehicle incident between Scartaglen and Ballydesmond on June 15th last year. Ms O’Connell and her 18-month-old daughter were both injured in the accident. Her solicitor Padraig O’Connell previously told Tralee District Court that the case would be going forward to Tralee Circuit Court on a NOT guilty plea. Judge James O’Connor further remanded Ms O’Connell on bail until next week.
