Blood donor numbers drop in Kerry.

The number of people donating blood has dropped in the Tralee clinic according to the Irish Blood Transfusion Centre. 616 people attended the August clinic but only just over 504 qualified to give blood. This is a drop of nearly 200 from the April clinic. The figures for the clinic so far this week are still low at 318 but the Irish Blood Transfusion Centre is hoping this will increase. They are urging people to donate blood at the KYDS hall today and tomorrow as blood supplies are a very serious issue coming up to Christmas.
