Billy Burke is laid to rest in hometown of Killorglin

Billy Burke has been laid to rest after Funeral Mass in Killorglin. The 29 year old suffered from cystic fibrosis. He had been on the transplant list for the last four years. Around 1,000 people packed into St James Church in Killorglin to pay their last respects. Billy Burke was a true blue and white Rangers supporter according to Parish Priest Fr Michael Fleming. He told the congregation Billy won the hearts of all with his courage and dermination.He showed a willingness to fight for his own life and for the lives of his fellow cystic fibrosis sufferers.
