That’s the opinion of People Before Profit TD Mick Barry who’s condemned the Government’s decision to delay plans to return VAT from 9% to 13.5% for the hospitality sector. Fine Gael councillor Patrick O’Connor-Scarteen says this decision won’t just benefit hoteliers but everyone in the hospitality sector who have had to deal with rising costs.
