Republic of Ireland’s quest for European Championship qualification were hit by a 1-1 draw against Scotland last evening. Ireland remain fourth in group D, and five points adrift of leaders Poland, who beat Georgia 4-0. Germany, a point behind Poland, defeated Gibraltar 7-0. Scotland are third in the table, 2 points behind Germany and 2 ahead of Ireland.
