Belfast man is charged with murder of Tralee native

The man charged with the murder of Tralee native Roseanne Lonergan in Belfast has been remanded until March 9th at a sitting of Belfast Magistrate`s Court today. 48 year old Joseph Patrick Doherty was charged with murder last month after Roseanne Lonergan’s body was discovered at her home. She had been living in Belfast for a number of years.Last month a Detective Inspector told The Court that when charged Mr Doherty said he is very sorry for what he has done. His sister Mary Elizabeth Doherty has also been charged with, with holding information. Mr Doherty will appear again at Belfast Magistrate`s court on March 9th.
