Banna residents concerned about increase in number of mobile homes

Up to 50 residents in Banna have held a meeting to voice their concerns about a possible increase in the number of mobile homes to the area. Members of the group believe the region does not have the infrastructure to sustain a proposed development which its understood will look for planning permission for up to 250 mobile units. At the meeting, the Banna Carrahane Resident`s Action group was set up.At present there are 2 caravan sites in Banna which facilitate up to 300 mobile home units. The residents feel the high density of caravans and mobile homes in the area is creating an imbalance. They also fear the environmental impact of further development.
