Ballyoisin Has Won the Feature on Day 5 of the Listowel Races

Ballyoisin has won the Ladbrokes Ireland Listowel handicap hurdle at a price of 9-2.

Winners at Listowel means more to Michael O’Callaghan than most, and the Tralee native who operates on the Curragh was all smiles after sending out Quinns Red Rose to win at his home track today.

Quinns Red Rose made all of the running to take the MAC Fuels and General Supplies Fillies Maiden under Galway man Leigh Roche.

Willie Mullins secured a quick double at Listowel today when his son Patrick guided Exchange Rate home in front in the qualified riders’ race before Orion D’Aubrelle landed the beginners chase under Paul Townend.

Exchange Rate was getting the better Backsheesh, trained by Mullins’ brother Tom, with the champion handler revealing he won’t be popular in that household this evening after the result.
