Ballyheigue Lifepack group to raise funds for defibrillator

A lifepack group has been formed in Ballyheigue to raise funds for a defibrillator for the area. The device is used to treat a person who has suffered a sudden cardiac arrest. It`s designed so that a minimally trained person with limited or no experience can use it in an emergency. The aim of the group is to have a defibrillator in parishes all over the county. Chairman of the ballyheigue lifepack group Tommy James says the device can mean the difference between life or death.
