Ballyduff woman looks set to run for Labour in Listowel

labour logo     A 30-year-old administrator with a family resource centre is likely to run for Labour in North Kerry in the upcoming local elections. Katie Lucid-McCabe from Ballyduff has been approved by the party’s national selection board. It means she along with sitting county councillor Pat Leahy will go forward for selection to the party convention for the Listowel electoral area. The party intends to select two candidates to run in May’s county council elections. There are no other names before convention. Ms Lucid-McCabe works for Ballyduff Family Resource Centre. There had been speculation that Cllr Leahy wished to retire but he said it’s likely he will contest the local elections.
