Ballybunion project receives grant of €650,000.

The Tintean Project in Ballybunion is set to be up and running by next June following the pay-out of a government grant of 650 thousand euro. The committee received the cheque yesterday and work on the 500 seat dance theatre is set to resume next month. The funding is part of a grant announced two years ago when the then Arts Minister Sile De Valera earmarked 825,000 euro for the project. Michael Carr who’s behind the project says that although they have run 12 months over time and one and a half million euro over budget the end product will be worth it.
