Ballybunion expat objects to Trump sand art plan

A Ballybunion expat is objecting to plans by a sand artist in the town to create a piece on Ladies Beach to mark the inauguration of Donald Trump as US President this Friday.

Mario Perez, a retired government worker from California, has previously created tributes in the sand to Munster Rugby great Axel Foley and the 1916 commemoration.

Michael Galvin was born in a house overlooking the Blue Flag beach and has spent the past 50 years in the United States.

He says Donald Trump has no sense of decency and has a lack of respect for women.
