The average rent in Kerry has increased by over 10% in a year.
That’s according to the latest quarterly Rental Report by Daft.ie. for the third quarter of this year.
The figures show that the average rent in Kerry now stands at €874; that’s an increase of 10.5% compared to the same period last year.
The average rent for a one-bed apartment is €609 (up 12.1%), a two-bed house is €689 (up 8.3%), it’s €800 for a three-bed house (up 8.4%), €871 for a four-bed house (up 6.4%) and €929 for a five-bed house (up 3.2%).
The average rent across the country now stands at 1 thousand 400 hundred euro a month – that’s an increase of 5.2 percent in the last year.
The author of the report has warned that the market could face another decade of high rents.
