Around 1,000 Kerry homes and businesses remain without power due to Storm Hannah

Around 1,000 customers remain without power in the Kerry area this afternoon.

In Gurranebane and the Iveragh Peninsula, 305 homes and businesses are without power.

280 customers in Ballybunion, Kilflynn and the Athea, Abbeyfeale area are without power.

In Ballyferriter and Inch, 250 customers have no electricity.

222 customers are without electricity in Ballydesmond, Knocknagree in North Cork and into Rathmore.

97 customers living in Boolteens and Firies are also without power due to Storm Hannah.

There are 107 customers affected in the Ballyrickard/ Barrow West area.

Fifteen customers in Kenmare are affected.

ESB Networks says all of these customers, affected by the storm, should have power restored by 9.30 tonight.

Separately, there are two planned ESB Networks outages – the outage in Castleisland, which is affecting 146 customers is due to be restored around now (4pm) while power should return to the planned outage in Woodford, Killarney at 6pm.

These planned outages are to allow for essential works to be carried out.
