Army bomb disposal team to make safe washed up bombs

Members of the public are being advised to avoid Rossbeigh Beach this morning until the army bomb disposal team makes safe two bombs that were washed up yesterday. The South Kerry beach was cleared at 6pm on Sunday and was sealed off pending the arrival of the army team. After discussions between Gardai and the army about the tides and the approach of darkness, it was decided to wait until today to dispose of the devices. Neither an exact description or time-period from which they date is known at this stage. The Southern Brigade bomb disposal team is en route from Cork.
