The Irish boxers have scooped another medal at this week’s EU Championships in Bulgaria. Middleweight Michael O’Reilly has secured at least a bronze medal for himself after beating his Georgian opponent in their quarter-final this afternoon in Sofia. But there was disappointment for light welterweight Dean Walsh, who lost his quarter-final against Dmitri Galagot of Moldova on a split decision. Last in action today will be super heavyweight Dean Gardiner, who will face an Italian opponent for a place in the semi-finals.
