Ammunition found in Tonevane area in Tralee

Gardai in Kerry say they have no evidence to suggest that the discovery of ammunition outside Tralee this week is connected to the IRA’s recent statement on disarmament. Several thousand rounds of ammunition were found in the Tonevane area on Tuesday. Journalist and historian, Ryle Dwyer says it’s more than likely a part of the IRA’s weaponry. He says the IRA probably has weapons at locations in Kerry.
