Almost 150 vacant council houses brought back to use in 2017

 

Almost 150 vacant properties owned by Kerry County Council were brought back into use last year.

There are currently over 3,100 people on the housing waiting list in the county; 386 applicants were housed in 2017.


Building began on 101 social housing units during the past 12 months and 177 are planned for this year.

Almost 3,300 repair requests were completed in 2017 on council housing stock.
