Alleged breaches of fishing regulations may be tip of the iceberg

The Irish Fish Producer`s Organisation says the alleged breaches of fishing regulations by two vessels earlier this week are the tip of the iceberg. The first vessel was detained on Monday on suspicion of retaining undersize fish on board, and the second for alleged log book infringements. Lorcan O Cinneide claims that they have ample evidence that there are vessels coming into waters off the South West with a smaller mesh and killing multiples of fish stocks.
