Air Force Blue & Emotionless Set To Clash In Dubai Dewhurst Stakes

The eagerly anticipated clash between Coolmore’s Air Force Blue and Godolphin’s Emotionless in Saturday’s Dubai Dewhurst Stakes has moved a step closer after both featured among a potential field of 12 today. The high-class duo dominate the market for next year’s Qipco 2,000 Guineas, with Air Force Blue Paddy Power’s 4-1 Classic favourite and Emotionless 6-1 with the same firm. Despite those Guineas quotes, Power has Emotionless shading Dewhurst favouritism at 11-10 with his big rival at 5-4 for Saturday’s Group 1 over 7f at Newmarket. Godolphin could also be represented with Middle Park Stakes runner-up Buratino, while the Coolmore partners also have Lieutenant General, Shogun and Waterloo Bridge at their disposal. Meanwhile, Tony Martin has decided to take Thomas Edison out of Saturday’s Betfred Cesarewitch on the same Newmarket card despite JP McManus’ charge being 10-1 second favourite with the sponsors. Martin dies have Quick Jack, third in the race last year, among 56 confirmations on Monday.
