Agricultural land prices to remain strong

Agricultural land prices in the county are to remain strong according to a Tralee Auctioneer. This is contrary to recent statistics from The CSO which note a 8.6% decrease in the third quarter of 2004. Eddie McQuinn says this figure is not representative as it only takes in a short space of time where the number of land transactions are few and includes several types of land including forestry. He says agricultural land prices are increasing all the time, but they`re not being sold for agricultural purposes.
