Aer Aran hopefull of retaining Kerry Dublin route

The Chief Executive of Aer Arann says he believes the recent problems on the Kerry Dublin route will not hinder their chances of renewing the contract from The Department of Transport. The route will go out to tender again in June of this year and will run until 2008. It`s unclear whether or not the level of pso will remain at its current level as the department are looking to increase the number of flights out of the airport.Padraig O Ceidigh says if they decide go to tender then their standard of service will stand to them. Meanwhile the Chairman of Kerry Airport Denis Creegan says he is confident that the level of subsidy will not decrease. He says the announcement that the route is to continue for another three years allows them to do some realistic planning. He says he doesn`t believe the extra flights will result in a decreased PSO.
