Acquired Brain Injury Ireland setting up new Kerry support group

A new support group is being established for the families and friends of those with acquired brain injury in Kerry.

Every year in Ireland an estimated 19,000 new brain injuries are acquired from causes including stroke, road traffic accidents, brain tumours, falls and assaults.

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland is setting up the new support group, which will meet for the first time on November 26th in its centre in Castleisland from 7:30 to 9pm.

The meeting will offer advice to family and friends who care for people with acquired brain injury.
