Accommodation centres for asylum seekers in Kerry paid almost 16 million euro between 1999 and 2011

Westwood Court in Tralee which is operated by Tralee Town Centre Hostel Ltd received the largest payment of almost 7 million between the end of 1999 and March 2010. The figures were released to Independent Deputy for Dublin Central, Maureen O’Sullivan following a parliamentary question. The Atlantic Lodge in Kenmare received over 3.4 million euro for the accommodation provided between April 2000 and June 2005. While, Linden House in Killarney which is operated by Milstreet Equestrian Services was paid almost 3.2 million between 2005 and 2011. This figure was a small percentage of the overall sum paid to Millstreet Equestrian Services for accommodation provided to asylum seekers at locations throughout the country, the total for a 10 year period came to over 40 million euro. Bunrower House Holiday Hostel in Killarney was paid over 284 thousand euro between January 2000 and October 2001. While, Park Place Hotel in Killarney was paid almost 1.4 million euro for accommodation provided between May 2000 and April 2004. Almost three quarters of a million euro was paid for the accommodation provided by The Village House in Glenbeigh from October 2000 and September 2005.
