Absent Council members deserve to be criticised.

The Chairman of the Sneem branch of the IFA says members of the Council who did not attend a meeting on development levies last week deserve to be criticised. According to Dan Breen those who did not attend the meeting clearly did not realize the importance of the issue.A number Councilors sent apologies to the meeting which was called at three days notice but they were criticized from the floor by Cllr Michael Healy Rae for not showing up.Yesterday Sinn Fein, Fianna Fail and Fine Geal claimed the IFA could have handled the issue better. However speaking on this mornings Kerry Today Dan Breen said anyone who failed to show up did not take account of the importance of the farming lobby.
