69% of sports funding goes to South Kerry.

69 per cent of sports capital funding announced by Sports Minister John O`Donoghue today is going to South Kerry. 49 organisations in Kerry are to share nearly three million euro. A dozen groups will receive over 100,000 euro, with nine of them in South Kerry.The South Kerry sports centre is the biggest recipient at 250,000, followed by Kenmare GAA club and Laune Rangers at 200,000 euro each. The announcement has been welcomed by Deputies Jimmy Deenihan, Martin Ferris and Tom Mc Ellistrim.
