6,500 people sign on in the live register in March

There were just over six and a half thousand people signing on in Kerry in March. That’s an overall decrease of 78 on the same month last year. In February there were over 290 more people signing on in the county than in March. Caherciveen was the only town which saw a drop in the numbers on the live register in the last month.Tralee, Listowel, Killorglin, Kenmare, Dingle and Cahirciveen all showed a year on year decease. However the figures for Killarney show and increase of 13 people signing on this March compared with March 2004. In Munster March showed there was an annual drop of over 2700 on the live register.
