The reopening of a Tralee hotel will create 50 jobs. hotel room beds 2 That’s according to businessman Der O’Sullivan who purchased Benners Hotel on Castle Street before Christmas. The hotel dates back to 1826 when it operated as a commercial inn and post house and was the drop off and collection point for the post in Tralee. Benners Hotel went into receivership in 2010, it closed its doors in September 2012 and in May 2013 the landmark hotel was offered for lease.
