3,300 of homes without power in Kerry following Storm Ali

Over 3,300 homes are without power in Kerry.

ESB networks are working to repair electricity lines across the county, following damage caused by Storm Ali.

In North Kerry, a total of 590 customers are without power, including those in Kilduff, Kilpadogue, Moyvane and Ballyroe.

Over 2,700 are without power across South Kerry: a tree stuck in a line near Waterville has left 1,960 without power, while parts of Cahersiveen are also affected.

On the Sneem side of Kenmare, 630 are currently without power, while a further 115 are affected in Kilgarvan.

Area Manager with ESB Networks in Kerry, Ger Deenihan says crews are working to restore power to all areas.

He is reiterating the advice to customers: stay clear of fallen lines.
