3,000 customers sign up with Town Council’s bin collection

Tralee Town Council looks like having enough customers to continue a bin collection next month. 3,000 householders have signed up and the Town Council needs just 300 more to ensure it’s viable. Environment Minister Martin Cullen threatened to dissolve the council in January when the Councilors failed to agree their budget. The provision of a bin service had been the sticking point. Mayor Terry O`Brien says the outlook is much better now.
